Wireless World
What is Wireless World?
Wireless World is a dynamic cross-curricular unit written by middle school teachers to excite 6th-8th graders about wireless technology as well as technology in general. Provided within the materials are lesson plans and examples to afford teachers many ways to communicate this exciting information to students without compromising the students' or teachers' expected and required curriculum.

Materials are separated into five components: a "General Reference" section, plus four areas of study: "Language Arts", "Science", "Math", and "Humanities". Each area of study has complete lesson plans, including "Background Information", "Teacher Information", and "Student Activities".

AT&T
Wireless World development was funded by AT&T Wireless Services (ATTWS). It is provided free of any cost by ATTWS and the Global Wireless Education Consortium (GWEC) to teachers that wish to utilize the material. The material is copyrighted, but ATTWS grants teachers the right to copy materials for use by students in the classroom. The full copyright statement is given below and is also printed on the materials.

By providing this curriculum, ATTWS and GWEC sincerely hope to support middle school teachers and students in their understanding of technology. We suggest teachers engage parents, industry experts, and higher education faculty in the presentation of Wireless World lessons. By involving these additional human resources, teachers and students will learn how to transfer their excitement about technology learned during Wireless World lessons into planning their future education and careers in technology fields.
